HCP Surpasses $1 Million milestone in Donations to Support Rock County Families Battling Cancer

BELOIT, WISC. (September 24, 2024) - Hendricks Commercial Properties is proud to announce a $100,000 donation to the Rock County Cancer Coalition (RCCC), an organization dedicated to easing the financial burden of local cancer patients and their families. The funds were raised during the 12th annual Rockin’ the Greens golf event held earlier this month at Beloit Club.
“The Rock County Cancer Coalition is incredibly grateful to Hendricks Commercial Properties and their remarkable team whose kindness, dedication, and hard work have made a significant impact on our community, said Lucy Beckord, executive director at Rock County Cancer Coalition. "Rockin’ the Greens support for our mission of helping residents in Rock County who are fighting cancer is truly inspiring.”
With this contribution, Hendricks Commercial Properties has officially surpassed the $1 million mark in total donations to RCCC, all raised through its annual golf events. Since its inception in 2010, Rock County Cancer Coalition has distributed nearly $1.9 million to assist close to 2,000 cancer patients and their families in Rock County. Importantly, 100 percent of funds raised stay local, supporting local patients with critical needs such as rent or mortgage payments, utilities, insurance, internet, and car payments during treatment.

Every year, more than 900 Rock County residents are diagnosed with cancer. Prior to RCCC’s inception, financial assistance was difficult if not impossible for patients to secure. While many funds focus on cancer research or medical services, the personal financial strain individuals and families battling cancer experience was not being adequately addressed. Our purpose is to offer that much needed financial relief by providing grants of $1,400 to recipients currently undergoing cancer treatment. The grant funds may be used for rent/mortgage, utility, phone/internet, insurance, and car payments. Since 2010, RCCC has granted over $1.7 million in funding and grants, allowing us to help over 1,700 Rock County residents, with 100 percent of our funds staying in Rock County.
